Bronx, NY – Serious Pedestrian Crash at E Fordham Rd & E Kingsbridge Rd

Bronx, NY (September 9, 2021) – Around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, September 8, a serious pedestrian crash occurred at an intersection in the Bronx.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of East Fordham Road and East Kingsbridge Road. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when it collided with a bus. The vehicle then struck three pedestrians before it overturned in the middle of the intersection. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. A total of seven people were injured in the accident. The three pedestrians were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The two people inside the passenger vehicle involved in the crash were arrested, though their charges have not yet been released.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time following the crash.
